May 4, 2022
A cold front will move into the region Friday night and bring the potential for severe storms to the area mainly Friday afternoon into the evening hours. The Storm Prediction Center has expanded the Slight Risk (level 2 of 5) to now include the Florida Panhandle, southeast Alabama, southwest Georgia and portions of the Big Bend. Only the southeast Big Bend is included in the Marginal Risk (level 1 of 5). While damaging wind and hail are the primary hazards with this event, a tornado cannot be ruled out.
