Franklin County Community Emergency Response Team
Are you eager to make a difference in your community? Consider becoming a member of the Franklin County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)! This training program, developed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), equips Floridians to assist their families and neighbors during times of disaster.
Through CERT, participants can learn about:
- Disaster preparedness
- Basic disaster response skills, including:
- Fire safety
- Light search and rescue
- Disaster medical operations
With this invaluable training, Florida volunteers can offer essential support to their local communities.
In addition to enhancing community preparedness, CERT volunteers actively assist Franklin County and Franklin County Emergency Management throughout the year by:
- Engaging in community preparedness outreach
- Providing traffic control at local events
- Serving at the Emergency Operations Center
- Educating the public on disaster preparedness
